The Daredevil soundtrack provided a nice boost for this previously unknown quartet from Little Rock, Arkansas. Evanescence’s songs “My Immortal” and the imposing “Bring Me to Life” are clear standouts in the film, mainly because they work so well with the dramatic, eerie undertones of the storyline. They reappear here on the band’s debut, alongside a selection of similarly brooding tracks that evoke pensive artists like Tori Amos and the Cranberries. As the volcalist, whose name was Billie Joe, opened his mouth, I alterded my interpration.toward punk music. Punk music, which has always been determined as something clamorous and tumultuous, sometimes even erractic and incomprehensible in public perspective, turned into a weirdly colourful palace which has been unkown to me for many years.
It was Green Day that provided me with a totally fresh feeling of punk. That punk is not merely something of shouting or crying out loudly, it is the attitude of conplaint or the nature of innovative. Green Day, from my perspective, was apparently the representative of punk music at present. Their voices may have been hoarse, yet they expressed the soul of pure by singing. They may have been too much passionate, yet tenderness still could be found within the lyrics. Just as what was sang in the song <Wake mw up when September Ends>, I was greatly moved by the overwhelmingly strong sympathetic to soldiers at war of Green Day through their agitating performance.
