Kristin Cavallari is back, and she’s shaking things up on “The Hills.” But despite the drama-filled trailer for the new season, which kicks off September 29, Cavallari insisted at Sunday’s Video Music Awards that she’s getting along famously with everyone. Well, almost everyone.

“I’m friends with everyone — except for Audrina,” she told MTV News backstage at the VMAs, where she presented an award with Nelly Furtado. So what does she make of the “Hills” commercials touting, “The bitch is back”? “I think it’s funny,” she laughed. “Honestly, I think it’s fun to play the bad girl, and no one remembers the nice girl, you know?”

In the trailer, Audrina Patridge says former co-star Lauren Conrad shared some words of wisdom about Cavallari. “Lauren basically told us she’s a man-eater. She’s a boyfriend stealer,” Audrina said. “These are people’s lives that she’s messing with. People do have hearts and feelings.”

Cavallari was excited to be in New York City for the VMA’s triumphant return to Radio City Music Hall. “It’s been a lot of fun. I forgot how great the VMAs are,” she said about the show, which included very memorable moments from Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Beyoncé.

The last time Cavallari attended the VMAs, they weren’t in the city that never sleeps. “I went to the ones in Miami. I think it’s better in New York,” she said. “I grew up watching it in New York, so this is the real VMAs.”

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards might have wrapped, but the party is far from over. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes updates, party reports and much more.

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards have wrapped up, leaving behind a bevy of memorable moments, legendary performances and at least one heel turn by a superstar. Of course, the moment that everybody is talking about is Kanye West’s interruption during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech. But the night wasn’t just about Kanye West, as there were plenty of other memorable moments behind the scenes.
